How are the prices worked out?
Every role sits in one of six skill levels, from Entry to Developer, and each level has a monthly price for 3 days a week and for full-time (5 days a week). The more specialist the skill, the higher the price. If you need 1, 2 or 4 days a week, we price it pro rata from the 3-day rate. For occasional work you can pay by the hour instead. All prices are per person, per month, in pounds sterling, and we confirm your final quote on a call.
Where will my team work?
Everyone works from our supervised office in Accra, Ghana, on high-specification Windows and Mac computers with fast, reliable Starlink internet. Experienced supervisors manage the team day to day.
Is my data safe?
All team members are trained in UK data protection and safeguarding before they start. Shapeways.io is a registered business in both the UK and Ghana.
Do I pay PAYE, National Insurance or pension contributions?
No. You pay Shapeways.io a monthly fee, so there is no PAYE, National Insurance or pension to add on. Some businesses may also benefit from international employment tax relief, so speak to your accountant about your situation.
What time zone will they work in?
Ghana is on GMT all year. That is the same time as the UK in winter and one hour behind during British Summer Time, so your team works your hours.
How is this different from Shapework.io?
Shapework.io is our online platform for independent freelancers across Ghana, who work from different places and are not managed by us. The premium service is a long-term staffing solution: your team works from our supervised Accra office with our equipment and internet.
